Challenge
The client was a travel writer with an established online presence, but her existing site was built around her books and she felt stuck in a chapter she was moving on from.
With retirement approaching and more time to travel than ever, she needed a site that could grow with her next phase, one that led with the experiences and places rather than the publications. The redesign is not just visual, it is a reframing of her entire identity online.
Approach
The design direction balanced clean structure with bold visual moments, letting her photography do the storytelling without the site feeling chaotic. Photo galleries were treated as the core experience rather than a secondary feature, with layouts that gave her images room to breathe and make an impression.
